This article introduces part II of the miscellaneous volume Textes et contextes de l'immigration, Texte und Kontexte der Migration, presenting the individual contributions contained therein and, first of all, comparing the differences and affinities between France and Germany regarding the topic. Differences between the two nations can be observed in the historical causes of the presence of non-natives (imperialist past vs. political agreements for recruiting workforce after the war), in their places of accommodation (banlieues vs. central urban neighborhoods), in the ideological conceptual approach to the phenomenon (continuity in the use of the term "immigrant" vs. changing terms from "guest workers" to "person with migration background"). Affinity, on the other hand, i.e. a trend to globalization that (through global media) goes beyond national borders, can be observed in the current phenomenon of hybrid languages of youth.

Abstract
Affinity, on the other hand, i.e. a trend to globalization that (through global media) goes beyond national borders, can be observed in the current phenomenon of hybrid languages of youth.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
